Default Back in a Ford with my Mrs new toy

Picked up the replacement for my good ladies 207 last night, a rather bold Fiesta Titanium with the 125PS Eco-boost motor. I have to say I'm really impressed with it and the way it drives for a dinky 1 litre with a cylinder missing.

Already have an ST front grill to go on and a set of 17's courtesy of 1-PD on here and looking at a Mountune 145 conversion to retain the warrantee.

I suggested the pic of her and it took this long for the swelling to subside

Minor change of plan on the wheel front. Managed to get these sorted Friday after work ready for Ford Fair. She's now decided she wants black mirrors and roof and Mountune style swoosh up the sides. A petrol head in the making, I'm so proud. LoL

I'd love to drop it 30mm sadly my Mrs doesn't feel the same and it's her car so probably won't happen. Unless I feel brave and sneak a set of springs on when she's not looking.

I was looking at getting one of these as a daily - amazing you can get 179bhp out of a remapped 1.0t 3 cyl engine! Is it as flexible and fun as people say? Decent MPG?

I'm torn between one of these 1.0t jobbies and a tdci Zetec S for the daily grind - what seats have you in your Zetec S? The leather ones or the standard ones? Last thing I need for my back is crappy seats. No lumbar support? What makes them uncomfortable?

Cheers for any feedback.

Yes I have the diesel zetec s with the cloth seats. I find they have a big lump at the bottom of the back rest which makes your back arch forward. I am however 6'4" so that might have something to do with it though lol. I am hoping to fit some other seats in the front, maybe the recaros out of the st. Apart from that I love it!

Thanks for the info - always best to try before you buy.

What sort or real world MPG you getting out of interest? I get 60mpg day in day out in my A2 as a comparison.

I'm getting about 55mpg but do rag it a bit as I'm usually late for work lol. That's with 20 miles of motorway and 40 miles of A roads a day. At 80mph on the motorway it sits at nearly 3000rpm so does tend to drink the fuel, keep it at 70 and it's OK.

We've found it to be a great car and I've enjoyed lobbing it around. Not quite as economical as the Peugeot diesel but it's a vastly better car. We generally see economy around the late 40's early 50's.

Not bad going never seen anything above 42 in our zetec s ecoboost. Our old mk 6 so with the close ratio box only gave a couple of mpg less.
