Default 2.9 efi 12v

So I'm putting a 2.9 efi out of a Granada 4x4 into my Capri . I've swapped sump for rwd and stripped all the wiring from the donor car today.
It's the air flow metre type engine but I'd rather have the lamba sensors installed so that I can use cone air filters. They look so much better I think than the bulky air flow meters.
Can I convert to this I'd it possible

This is from the donor car

I took the full loom and fuse box from the donor car
This is the part I need from it I think ??
I'm looking for an electrician so I can just hand it all over and pay to sort for me.

If I read your question right, you want to remove the air flow meters completely ?

You would have to use an aftermarket ECU, such as MegaSquirt or Emerald to do that.

I had a XR4x4 with the flapper type airflow meters and it ran fine with the K&N filters fitted - keeping the meters and stock ECU and it never came with lambda sensors.

On a side note, the Escort Cosworth boys would kill to get their hands on your Granada 4x4 hubs - pretty rare now!

I will probably just use air flow meters. They were the only part that I couldn't get as they were not on the donor car so I will have to get them in eBay or something. It's really the wiring that has me stumped. I need a wiring diagram, having trouble fining one though.

What colour are the wires you have left once all the sensors and ecu are fitted?

Green will be tacho feed
Black usually ignition feed
Brown white trace temp gauge
Red battery positive
Black red trace fuel pump positive.
Brown earth
Red blue trace can also be battery positive.

These are from memory need to see a pic of what you have really to check.

Most fords are the same.

The engine with the lambda sensors uses a different ecu. The engine itself with the lambda sensors is also different, it is lower compression (9.0:1) than the one you have (9.5:1) and it also has a different camshaft.

I'd swap a set of AFMs from a 2.9 XRx4 (I think I even have the K&Ns for them somewhere) for the 4 5-stud hub flanges.

The 57-0119-1 is for the (later) engine without the air flow meters. 57-0029 should be for the engine with the air flow meters, but I'm not sure if they are still available.

I couldn't get any for mine a couple of years ago and ended up with a Piper cross kit.

No, that's for the later non-afm cat equipped version.

It looks like the right one. But I wonder if you will get the one showed, as I believe it is supposed to be discontinued from K&N.
