New car arrived today - back in a Ford

So after months of not washing it because driving it around the country lanes was so much fun, I finally got around to getting it clean again.
(if any of you Cosworth loving fiends care.. would it help to mention it has a Cosworth designed head? lol.. I know it's boring to some..)
The Tractor populated lanes have taken their toll though:
Mudflaps doing their job:
Auto finesse Avalanche, Dodo Juice Born to be mild shampoo, Dooka lambswool wash mitt and some elbow grease later:
Time to go get it messy again.

Looks nice again now mate, fair play for actually using it, I know of a couple of people who won't drive them and don't even like taking it to a show if there's a chance of rain 😭 more money than sense.

I would be inclined to use a durable and long lasting ceramic coating such as gtechniq exo and crystal serum light. It expensive but worth it for the protection it offers.

I have been thinking of putting that over the rest of the car that hasn't got PPF on it.
Ceramic coatings do very little against stone chips though unfortunately, and that's the reason the PPF is on all the high impact parts on the car. Matching the Nitrous paintwork would be fairly hit and miss like Electric Orange and Ultimate Green.
My wash technique is ok that the risk of swirlage is very small. I can machine any swirls out though and that's all fun.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Love it, colour is fantastic against the black wheels, even better in the flesh and if it's OK for a cossie to have 4 doors it's more than ok for the focus

What are the must haves spec wise? yours looks awesome by the way. again I keep finding myself saying "but god its got 4 doors" but I think I am going to need to scratch this itch!

Must have's - hmm, it's purely your own opinion really.
Personally I like the black forged wheels compared to the silver, but the black multispoke versions of the standard ones are really nice too. You can't get them as new with the car but can order them via Ford.
Seats - well that's the bit discussion point. The standard ones are ST seats with an RS badge, but can he height adjusted and heated if that's important to you. I chose the Shell seats as I think an RS needs proper seats, not ST seats. And they're dead comfy. I prefer a slightly high seat so suit me anyway.
The upgraded stereo is crap, but you need to spec it to get the camera at the back which is handy - especially when the turning circle is pants so handy when reversing into spaces. The sat nav is ok. Later cars have Sync 3 compared to mine with Sync 2. Both work fine IMO.
Door protectors - my dealer advised against them as they can break. And the last thing you want is them breaking and then slamming them into the door behind.
Lux pack - power folding door mirrors, keyfree, cruise, rear park sensors and privacy glass is a good deal
Active city stop - might just save your front bumper one day so why not.
If I were ordering again, I'd seriously be considering Magnetic Grey as it look very classy. Still love the blue though.

So that's where that plate went lol! I was watching that on DVLA for months and kept thinking about buying it and went to get it and it was sold. Ended up buying T99 FRS in the end.
Lovely looking car mate! They've grown alot more on me over the last few months

Hehe! Sorry!
I used to own a Mazda 3 MPS and quite often saw one going the other way with T23 MPS - then when I finally twigged that it could work with FRS, I got home, spotted it on DVLA and bought it. That was July 2015, 9 months before the car turned up

Can't believe it's now a year to the day that I collected my car
It went for it's first yearly service yesterday (2nd oil change) and had the PCM and audio update whilst it was there. I'm not sure if it's my imagination, or just that I got stuck in a bit of traffic on the way out but there's more pops and bangs even in normal mode.
The audio is much better now as well with a fuller sound now something is coming out the rears.
Had to laugh at the tyre depth on the health check - Front's 6mm, rear 7mm. As new they're only 7.3mm. Safe to say I haven't really driven it at it's full potential over the last 5496 miles. But I've loved every one of them.
After a years motoring, these are my figures:

So - drove home 33 miles from the dealers and shoved it in the garage.
Got it out today and the "oil change required" warning came on the dash! Seems like I serviced it just at the right time!
Reset it now so all good.
(Dealer can't reset it until it comes up on the dash so a simple procedure over the phone to reset it)
