Nice pair

Classic fords have been making big numbers at recent auctions, good place to sell something special and avoid all the scammers/chancers that are all over the interwebs

That is a common thought, same with property. It is often auctions that make the record figures though due to the competitive bidding...I gues it is the same with eBay these days

Controversial that Glenn!

How can an owner be greedy sending his car to auction they don't know what it would go for

on a side note if you were offered 150k for your saph would you sell?
or would you say no because you would be too greedy??

Ye if people are willing to bid up to those figures then you cant say nothing about the owners of traders, different to chancers on ebay, where you ask for a big figure but 6 months later its still there.

We're selling more and more Classics these days - they create a lot of interest and much more fun than the run of the mill stuff!
The RST made just under £5k and the RS2000 made just over £23k - both cheap cars in my opinion!

id expect theyed be in an auction with a reserve price so they cant lose in hope there will be a bidding war to bump up the sale price. I don't know how much an auction would charge for a no sale?

I contacted Manheim about cars last summer to get rough prices they expect to sell for and they were the same as I could get privately if I bought there!
They then said I'd have to pay some kind of buyers premium on top, so I thought no way!
Was the £5k and £23k before the extra fees needed to be added on does anyone know?
