Nope. I watched Top Gear because of the presenters. If they are not there then there's no point.

Don't know. Didn't like the Clarkson & muppets show & not impressed with Evans on the Radio. However I think he is a true Petrolhead unlike Clarkson who was a twat. Will give him a chance & see if he can deliver a proper Petrolhead show not a ' look at us we are overpaid stupid idiots'.

There is very little for petrol heads on TV at the moment so as long as its not totally fucking shit, im sure plenty of petrol heads will watch it.

If you have a choice between miseryenders, misery street, stupid fucking dancers, idiots who deserve to die in the jungle or something car related then chances are a petrol head will watch the car show as even if its mediocre it will still be better than the alternatives.

Like anything new, I'll watch it for the first episode before giving up

I'm not the only person who absolutely despises that ginger twat, can't stand to hear him rabbiting on about stuff he is personally interested in yet you couldn't give two hoots about

I think we should all watch it and make up our own minds then. One episode should be enough to see how its going to pan out.

I agree it needed a format change, there were some recent gems like Lancia and SAAB tributes, but some of the challenges were a bit annoying. Quite like Chris Evans, so hope he does a good job.

Guy Martin was quoted as saying he turned it down as he didn't want the publicity

Im sure it will be an improvement with Chris Evans, so ill be watching it.

Guy Martin is interested in the Mechanics/Engineering, don't think it would have worked TBH, so it was a good move by him to bypass it. He's the new Fred Dibner.

Just watched a clip of a programme that roger dibnah has made and it looks awesome. https://youtu.be/cWpXZBsjhh0 looks really good if they ever televise the series

I'll watch it again for the first time in 6 or 7 years, certainly worth a watch now the three unfunny clowns aren't in it.

Guy Martin is contracted to Channel 4 so couldn't do Top Gear or even be approached for the job.

He's even said that himself

ITV4 show quite a bit of motorsport Warren, and quest sometimes have the world rally x championship. There is also other stuff like chasing classic cars (cant remember who broadcasts that though), but that's boring IMO.

As for the new top gear, ye I'll watch it, what else is there on at that time?

He did a write up in one of the motorbike sites saying it wasn't his cup of tea, no mention of contracts

I would be surprised if it is all just car reviews. It will need some entertainment elements, otherwise it will be a flop most likely. As much as people might wish otherwise, cars are a bloody boring subject to most people.

If you have Freeview HD you now get Motors TV too, plenty on there.

I don't have it sadly, but my sister has sky so she lets me watch it when I visit her. Love the historic rallying they cover.
