The suspension is not the same as an s1, it has a twin anti roll bar and tie rod set up with koni adjustables. As said handles very well for what it is.
How is it different from an S1, thought that had twin arb too?!
At the risk sounding stupid, do the have the same sort of suspension set up as a S1?
its everything about them that makes them fun ,the turn in is fantastic and never seems to go wide whilst cornering .
Always liked them, but never really gone into the details of their inner workings as it were.... Always wanted an RS Turbo and after a couple of them, moved to Cosworths, so kind of passed them by...
likewise with myself ,i went from turbos to cosworths and i never took ant notice of these which was probably a little foolish lol

i agree theiur not fast but the chasis make them feel fast and so surefooted on the teisty stuff.i would never push a cossie into a bend like i would this
The press car sounds interesting, ive got some 16i bits kicking about, injection system, coils, ecus, brand new front spiltter etc
isnt it funny that 30+ years later we still drool over these fords from the 80,s .just shows how ford got it right back all those yearts ago mate
I am old enough to remember drooling over the first MK1 Escort twin cam I saw! That was fantastic compared to my Anglia 105e!!
Look at the price of a good one now!
Fords have always led the way with their high performance cars in the 60s,70s,80s,90s and now!!
