I filled mine with oil mixed with diesel to water it down then sprayed the Fook out of the sills from the cut outs under the carpet. Left it at work in the workshop for a few days till it stopped dripping out. Then used a can of body cavity wax on each side

I only did it as after having the inner and outer sills done on my saff I asked the guy what was best to use. He said oil water down with diesel as it will flow into all the gaps. Then use cavity wax.

I used clear waxoyl on my Cossie, she's got about 2.5 litres in that car over the years lol. I have the gun used with air line and the long tube with 4 way spray pattern on the end

Perfect timing this thread I'm just welding on new sills and back arches onto my saff and want to know what I can spray into my sills. When I had the sills off I sprayed all the insides with heavy zinc spray.

I use the Bilt Hamber Dynax range. They do a clear and a black spray (Dynal UB & UC) for wheel arches and floorpans and Dynax S50 for cavitys. Nothing else comes close and I certainly wouldn't use waxoil.

I waxoiled my Missus KA, 3 years later it has started to lift in places and water and dirt got underneath it accelerating the rust. Ended up scrapping the car because of it.

Going to get some protection on my 6 month old Focus before winter comes. Might as well start early!
