Default What part is this on a cvh engine?

Hi
First time on removing an engine(1.4 carb).When we removed the engine I noticed this on the floor and no idea where it's from?

very surprised if that is from the engine or any part of the car, maybe left there from previous owners ....

Ah thanks, not needed then as we've changed the pump due to bike carbs.

that's ok mate no probs. make sure you block the hole where the fuel pump used to sit if your not using the pump. ford made a blank for them and can be found on the fuel injected cvh.
