Default Can anyone get Genuine Ford parts?

I need a thermostat for my Mondeo daily, just wondering if anyone on here can get one at a decent price compared to the main stealers?

Cheers Rich

It's a 2004 2.0 Tdci Mondeo btw.

Is it overcooling? If so you will probably want the oil cooler thermostat as these are pretty common to go on the mk3 diesel Mondeos.

Yes it is mate. I had read about that one but couldn't actually find out where it was? I might as well change both at the same time I suppose?

See the red circled bit. I did it on my tddi, doable without taking the inlet manifold off but was a fiddle. Do the normal stat first as that's easy, if not then it'll be this one.

Thanks for that. I've had the inlet manifold off before to clean it out and the EGR valve. It was pretty full of carbon so might as well take it off again and check it is ok.

Did that on mine too, tied it to a pallet and hit it with the steam cleaner at work, was amazed at how much crap came out of it!

Definatley do both together..

I had the main thermostat changed on mine as it never got up to full temperature. It did not resolve the issue so had the oil cooler one done a week later and all good again..
