Default Fiesta 13 plate onwards ecoboost?

Hi guys
Looking at getting the missus a new car and she prefers the newer fiesta 13 plate onwards but unsure on weather to have the ecoboost or the 1.25
Is the ecoboost really worth paying that bit more for? And other than the free road tax what does it offer over the 1.25 engine?
Also anybody who owns one wht do you think?

Just got the daughter the 99bhp ecoboost and very impressed with the way it go's.
Her's is a brand new one so not sure on how they are with a few miles on them but so far more than happy with it.
We have gone for the titanuim spec so it got plenty of goodies on it, we orderd it on the last day of the mth so they were desprate to sell as they had not met the monthly quota, so got it for a very good price some very good deals to be had on the fiestas at the moment.

It's more powerful, has better economy and is greener, hence nil tax.

Our lass has the zetec s goes well they only manage about 43 mpg don't know why they never put the 6 speed box in like the focus. Paid £10,700 for a 63 plate, they get expensive if you spec them up if buying new, personally think the st is better option if buying new.

I have driven a 125bhp focus ecoboost and that went pretty well.

I just put a deposit down on a focus st estate today, but that's a 2.0l ecoboost lol

The 1.25 has been strangled for emissions reasons and is absolutely pathetic.
I've had 1.25 and 100ps Ecoboost courtesy car and there's no comparison.
