took out my insurance for the 2003 Mercedes A210 AMG im picking up tomorrow as my next project.
ive got 0 no claims( company car) and 3 points for speeding and I was quoted £288 fully comp.

They only made it for 3 years, 2002 , 03 and 04 so its taken me a longer than expected to find one. Its the size and weight of a Tesco shopping trolley so the 2.1 litre 141bhp amg engine makes it quite nippy so ideal about the city centre and the twisty country roads. Motorway miles would be a bit annoying I expect but ive got something else for that! Amg alloys, bodykit ,lowered, twin exhaust etc and the black and white leather/suede interior ( panda 🐼 skin as my kids call it) as standard make it a fun toy. I'm looking at either an engine sway or possibly turboing the original to take it up over 200bhp
the bodywork needs sorted first though as rear arches on older mercs are always rusty!

Aint that the truth, looked a few E55 AMGs, as they are cheep, but guessing the state of the body reflects the cheepness!.

And Fords get a bad rep for rust!

I just drove 40 odd miles home after picking it up. whoever from AMG that decided to put a 2.1 litre engine in such a small car is a smart guy. its a fight for traction from a standing start but its a great fun little trolley that made me smile. I was surprised on the motorway, it cruised at 90 with no drama and even my boy said it didn't feel like we were going that fast.
