fiesta 1.1 engine questions???
Can anyone tell me the difference between a standard 1100, a fiesta 1100s engine and a series x engine as i'm thinking about getting a mk1 fiesta.

As far as I'm aware there is no difference between the engine of the 1100 and the 1100s, believe as part of the x pack conversions there was a twin downdraught carb kit available for them with an airbox mounted on top, but I think you'll really struggle to find one now. Not sure what other differences there were but I will have a look.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Mk1 fieata's
I had loads of mk1 Fiestas in the 80's all models and there is no difference between the small engines a 1.1s was the same engine as a 1.1L just different trim and wheels/tyres.
The 950 and 1100 engine is a horrible piece of junk they used to suffer from worn crank shafts due to bad design ( 3 bearing crank?).
1300 fiesta's were a massive improvement with a good engine and a decent bit of power from a simple twin choke carb.
In the UK there is no such thing as an X pack 1100cc fiesta and if there was one it would still have that shitty engine in it.
