So I was nosing through some Photos around my Grandparents. They had a Sapphire many years ago and it was in the background of a picture.
Thing that puzzled me was it had red Ford badges?
What were they about?

back in the day everyone used to colour code them, I lost count of how many I did on cars back then, nowadays its the gel overlay kids

Easy to do, simply sand the colour off the back leaving the badge totally clear. Polish it up and paint it whatever colour your wanted

Colour coded badges, thinking back to the early 90's you used to see loads.

I remember seeing a black 3 door that had a rainbow type effect done in fluorescent colours! I thought it looked good at the time but i was probably only about 12!!
