Default Ian Howell Zetecs?

Hello

Hope all is well.

Just a quick question, is Ian still building monster zetecs?

Since my old man passed away end of February, myself and some relatives have decided to turn his MK1 Focus into a time attack car and name it after him. Would be a nice way to remember him and have everyone in the family come out for the day and do something fun to honor him.

I have a CGI block bubble wrapped and a WRC Zetec Cosworth Cylinder head that I bought back in 2008. Was supposed to go into a Fiesta but ended up in the garage on the shelf.

Contact number or details would be great.

Cheers

He never did it as a full time job, just a hobby job, he did work for the water board if memory serves me correct. The most genuine guy I have ever dealt with in this industry.

Good to know fella.

Plans are a 400bhp Response engine. Car is to be built for FWD Time Attack.

Though the engine will be capable of 600bhp+ it's more about response and less power. So an EFR twin scroll would be the turbo choice.

However, I have the main parts to the engine I want to build. Now just need to find someone to bore the block for Cosworth Pistons.

I would give lee a shout too at devil as he can also map the car to suit the engine spec.

Restrictor in turbo and big potential power.

He trades for a few years then takes a year out
And so on so on
I worked with him on some parts the other year
Very nice genuine man
And if Zetec e where my cup of tea then I would use him

Lee had a CGI block there awhile ago, so worth giving him a call to see how far he got with it.

It's sure as hell an expensive way but money is meaningless when losing a parent. I rather have my Dad back than spend 15/20k.

Have heard back from Ian thanks to Dave. Good things are about to happen

Just need to find a place to cage the shell, get MK1 RS Front and Rear Quarter Panels then a nice shade of white with a hint of silver will be the color of choice.

Ian is a great guy , he will bend over backwards to help as long as you are a genuine customer , I've heard him talk on the phone for hours trying to help people who haven't even purchased anything from him lol . If you are using ian to build your engine then go and see Jim at alloy racing fabs , he does all Ian's inlet manifold welding and he did my cage and fab which was a work of art.
Very good price as well

Cheers paul
