It seems it's pretty easy to get a older ford rubbers than it is mk4 escort ones anyone know where I can buy some new ones??? I no burtons do mk1/2 stuff and it seems to be all I can find

Theres a seller on ebay that does loads of these seals. I bought one of his boot one not long ago.

Call them. They do loads that isn't listed. Bought a load of window seals/scrapers from then a few months ago.
