Suggest that you take camera, food and drink (expensive from vendors on-site) and possibly suntan cream ("Podface" is a well known phenomenon due to mix of wind and sun). Comfortable footwear is a must too. Enjoy the day.
Cheers, John

Just had another thought - To avoid queues, consider arriving and leaving early. Has been known to take ages to get out.

They used to be really snobby about Fords only at this show, quite amusing the scene has died so much they have had to go cap in hand to other marques to keep it going.

Lots of food and drink
Watch out for the sun
And the wasps

Good!

There is no problem with it being a Ford day, but to exclude others was ridiculous. Surely Ford owners want to see how they compare to other marques?

Silly power Corvette Stingray. Was doing great runs all day. Launched off the line, got about 50 yards, and burst into flames. The NOS line split, and sprayed nitrious all over the exhaust manifold. Driver was unhurt, and thanks to the crew, they saved the car . Took out bonnet, windscren, wiring loom, roof etc. Guy has a fortune into it, but he said he rebuild it and get it back asap.

Was horrible to watch mate.

Shit! Reminds me of seeing that Saff go up in flames at donnington years ago... At least the driver got out ok, but can't think of anything worse than see mine burn! Was bad enough seeing my little Fiat daily drive go up a few years ago!

Did anybody else see the red chrome effect Mk2 RS Focus below?

The photo (if it works) doesn't do the car justice, it looked absolutely stunning in the flesh.

Sorry, not too keen on that.... Maybe a combination of the colour and the chrome effect? Possibly, if in blue or something?

Bit 'marmite', that...

Yep,Wenny was there. Looked like he had a few issues though. First run was a 11.2 with a gentle start and missfiring at the top end. Didn't see any of his other runs.

nice one steve

actually we had a bigger attendance than the last 3 yrs

more cars
more pay on the day
more attractions

as for being dull im sure your only talking about the weather as i dont think the show was dull at all

i havnt spoken to anyone who said it was a crap day appart from you

i will make central group aware of your feelings and let them know you no longer want to attend

thats fine

thanks for the support mate

all shows are in decline and need help so attitude like yours will just stop the shows .what will we do then ?

This is not the first time you have said you are not doing this show again, and you moan about it every year. If you think it is so dull why don't you suggest a way to improve. This show is put on by a very small group of car enthusiasts in there spare time with very limited recourses, this year we had added the Paul Swift stunt team, ride on Monster Truck and live bands, which is a lot more than you get at most other car shows. Also none Fords have always been welcome at this show.

mark i dont suck up to anyone be it club or person and when my attending guys moan at me saying it was poor event and wont attend again I will always back them up 100%, and to make this a personal dig at me is pretty immature by you as there are posts on this site by others saying the same thing, this event will not feature as part of our diary as a result

I was there and one of those that told 1-pd it was a very poor show and was pretty empty by 2pm too which you cant deny or do you guys at central have blinkers on, most of you take no part in pf but feel the need to crawl out from under rocks and gang up on someone you should be actually asking the help of

seeing as we are not a club and do NOT charge people membership fees leaving them to freely choose who they want to attend events with thats a very naive and ill informed comment.
