Hi peeps I have just replaced a clutch in my escort mk4 and replaced the engine with a spare I had . Now I just want to know its started fine and ok on tickover etc but when driving its very lumpy . Bein a tight git from the north would it affect the running if the plugs av been in the engine for two years or so ????? . thanks

Erm yes... No harm in pulling them out and checking them. HT Leads could be knackered as well (as could a hundred other things in an unknown engine). But basic ignition checks are always a good place to start. Did you ensure you bolted all earths back on in the engine bay when chucking in the new engine?
