Default Gearbox Oil Additive - Fin 25?

Hi guys,

I was telling a mate about the weak 4wd cosworth gearboxes and he told me about Fin 25 Teflon additive that I should consider. He used it to overcome gearbox reliability problems when he maintained emergency response vehicles at the airport.

I'm thinking of using Fin 25 on my standard gearbox, and was wondering if anyone has any experience using it?

Here's their website: http://www.interflon.com/gb/products...e-nt500-fin-25

Thanks,

Rich

We used to use it when I had my garage as I was in the good garage scheme and to be part of it u had to sell this stuff when servicing etc. to be fair though we did loads of tests on a car with the bloke which is part of joining the good garage scheme and there stuff is awesome, I never used to believe a lot of these additives but there stuff surprised me on the tests we did! I used the gearbox treatment on a 106 diesel with a noisy gearbox and gearbox oil leak and it quietened it right up and stopped the leak long enough for me to flog it lol :-(

That's some great feedback - thanks for that

Sooner or later I will need to get the box rebuilt, but if I can make it last another year or so (the car isn't used often), then that would be a bonus.
