Our new car
Well for the first time ever we've bought a brand new car. I said I never would but a deal came through work for a brand new 15 plate Nissan note acenta premium for £99 deposit and £99 a month, so we went for it as our daily was on its last legs. Was a bit worried as its only a 1.2 petrol but needn't have been worried, plenty of room for the family, it has cruise control and sat nav, usb, Bluetooth and all sorts! When I picked it up I set the cruise control at 84 mph and it pulled all the way up the big hill on the way home without losing any momentum! Well chuffed and doing silly mpg even paying monthly for the car, with the fuel usage were actually saving money!!

Yeah it's £99 a month for 3 years then u either pay the remaining 5 grand odd in one go, or refinance the 5 grand or hand it back and get another brand new car (that's what we're planning to do a new car every 3 years) or u can just literally hand it back and forget about it and that would be like renting it I suppose

I must add I got a 20% staff discount and they paid £3850 deposit contribution. I pay a little more £103 a month and it's 60,000 miles in 3 years limit the £99 a month u are limited to 8000 a year

Good on you mate. I was the same as you. Always refused to buy a brand new car. Threw the head up last year, sold my flint grey saf cos (after an abundance of problems), sold my fiesta rst and my merkur xr4ti and went an bought a new Fiesta ZS TDCI. Best move i ever made. Was cheap to run and reliable etc. But just last week i got bored of how slow it was and traded it in for a Fiesta ST2 and i know in my head now that i can never see myself in anything over 5yrs old ever again. Too much hassle and breaking down running costs, a nee car is actually easier to live with

I sold my Focus ST as I was fed up with spending money on it. Bought a Mondeo diesel with the hope that I could just fill it with fuel and drive it. I counted up the bills the other day and in the last year I've spent more on maintaining the Mondeo than I did on my Focus in 2 years lol.

My work paid that as the deposit contribution and I only had to pay £103 deposit out of my own pocket. Can't really explain it any clearer than that?? I got the figures wrong it was £3200 they paid not £3850. So basicly that comes off the total price of the car plus they gave me 20% off the car also. After the 3 years I can just carry on paying my £100 a month to pay off the remaining £5000 odd and then I will own the car and it's all on 0% finance too

Sorry Prob should have explained I'm a mechanic for main dealer garage and every now and then they do staff discount deals on new cars, Prob when they've over ordered! They paid the main deposit as a contribution. Then gave me 20% off the whole price of the car. It dosent matter if I leave the company as its my car a lot of garages do deposit contributions

On the Nissan website they are offering over £3k deposit contribution, so they are basically knocking this much off the price of a new car for everyone. It's just an easy way into hassle free motoring, After the deposit it costs you £3 a day to basically rent. Might get one for the wife when she learns how to look after the shit box she's got now lol.

I work for Bosch and we get a partnership deal with Vauxhall, i have never looked into it as they only seem to offer corsa's and id want something bigger, and preferably not a vauxhall lol
plus all the corsa's they offer all look exactly the same, but just have different name lol
