Essex body shop recommendations?
My mk4 xr3i needs quite a lot of welding to the under side and a replacement chasis rail
Can anyone recomend somewhere in essex to carry out the work? Preferably someone who rely knows mk4s lol

RPC in Rayleigh do all my paint work,
Really nice guy and wont rip you off

theres a place in billericay called brewsters . they do fantastic work

When brewsters were based in Ramsden Heath I remember them having all the escort wrc cars to paint in the repsol colours and doing the steel wrc front wings

Always a bit of a trek but my fabricator is second to none in my opinion, he's spent his life restoring rusty 60's, 70's and 80's cars!

try C L Panelcraft in braintree, tell them Lee from ARI sent you.
they do loads of restoration work inc some RS's

Spoke to RPC today he's gonna have a look at give me a quote as soon as he can as he's mega busy, hopefuly he'll take it and be reasonable

He did 2 rear arches on my saff cosworth . painted both quarters and 6 years on there still as new Ł500

I'll try brewsters too, I've had a quote for a firm we use at work of Ł1000 I'm not sure if that was all the work or just the welding 😂 I know them to be very expensive tho so we'll see hopefuly that's the sort of money in looking at for everything lol

He might get the job tho Karl it's gettin hard to find anyone for the welding that's not mega busy down this way

Just had chat with Gary at brewsters he's provided me with a very good quote for the arches but needs to see the ROT as it's not what they specialise in, seems a nice bloke tho
