Default BMW 330d injector problems

Evening all, my mate has a 330d, think its a 2009/10 year (private plate and i cant remember..)
Its been remapped to 300bhp not sure if thats anything to with it but he has had injector problems.
The car is with an independent bmw specialist who have replaced and recoded one injector and are now saying that the fault codes show another 4 need replacing and the quote was about £4500!
He is in germany at the mo so getting info off him is a pain but he said he was driving along at about 90 and the engine just shut down.
Aparrently the garage its at have not seen this before.

Can you get these injectors cleaned/repaired or anything else anyone knows?

Cheers all.

No facts here, but I'd imagine injectors can be serviced. Not cheap but better than that quote!
I'm surprised at that quote though, they're not that expensive to replace, something like 300 sheets a piece.
I have a 330d too....

I think it was £750 for the one injector and to be recoded or something.

the info i have is vague at best... i think he is back from Germany today so will probably speak to him over the weekend.

Not sure if the injectors can be cleaned, everyone always just seems to replace them on the forums.

That is expensive though; brand new injectors can be had for £150-250. Fitting isn;t hard and coding is simple for a garage. Secondhand injectors will get him out of trouble otherwise, they go for £50.

From what my pal said when his failed individual injector each time it basically dropped the fuel rail pressure to low for the engine to run.

Hello I had a one series at work that kept say faulty injectors and It turned out to be all four inlet ports Carboned up. Get them to wip the inlet manifold of and put a bore scope down the port .

These bmw diesels always seem to have probs. my neighbours 330d is constantly breaking down! I had an e36 touring 318tds and it had done nearly 300,000 miles without missing a beat! Something to be said there

Finally spoke to him today. While he was in germany he bit the bullit and bought 5 more injectors for about 700 euro, and they are now fitted and all is well.. But he has lost confidence in the car and is on about getting rid lol..

So he has fixed it for about a grand in the end..
