That's it. 150k on it now. It's just been one Thing after another constantly. I've had probably 6 months of trouble free motoring with it and a year of issues.

At this rate I'll end up with a new jeep like triggers broom in only fools and horses

The actuators £220 but can do an exchange for a refurbed one at £80 but means traveling to Leicester to get it done but needs must.

Works quiet so said I'll take rest of the week off, poured my self a pint and going to get shit faced and drown my stresses.

Ffs lol. I would be well pissed off with the thing. If it was mine the jeep would of gone missing a few months ago lol.

Unfortunately currently I need transport for work.
So getting rid I'll have no wheels to get to work or go car hunting.

Something like this would do for a family battle bus.

I'd never buy one again. EVER!

Brand new ones will be ok as its nothing more than than the Fiat X or + or what ever the new shite mini crossover sexually confused car is.

It's all Mercedes gear that's been the issues as well. I blame them!

The other issue is the need of 7 seats with having 4 kids.

But I'll crack on and get the jeep sorted. Once done it'll be donated and be someone else's problem. I'll give it to the Ex Mrs and I can get something for me.

At least I know I can drive it safely in limp mode as its just the actuator playing up and not in limp mode for something serious.

Good old German engineering eh Glenn lol.
Get paid in 2 weeks so Ill ring a local turbo place and see if they can change the actuator at a decent price/ if not off to Leicester it is.

A lad i used to work with sold me his st17O and he bought a 54 reg bmw 530d. Hes had nothing but problems with it. He was on the way to manchester and the turbo let go taking the engine with it. Parts of the turbo went in the engine. He got it all sorted and its still not right. Hes only had the car just short of a year.

If you remember I had issues with my MK4 mondeo with the power steering.
Changed everything and it still wasn't right. Sold it MikeyRobbo who's a member in here when I got the jeep.
He does everything on my cars (apart from the DPF as he's not got the kit) for me. Spot on lad like.
When I used to work away he'd go to my house and pick it up, do what was needed and drop it off again. Help me out loads so sold the mondeo to him cheap as chips.

I still beat myself up every day for getting rid of my st, they are wicked cars. I should have just put it away and bought a cheap banger for a while. If I could locate it, I'd ask the owner to name his price and I'd buy it back tomorrow.

I feel exactly the same mate. Remember after afghan I'd saved up and was going to pay off some debts. After being blown up I was fuck being sensible, I'm treating my self to a car I really wanted.

I was gutted as I got first refusal from the guy that bought it and couldn't afford it at the time.

Excuse my language.

Yeah you'd fucking think so wouldn't you.

Nipped to the shop before and guess what.
Cunting limp mode again!!!!!

I'm ready to cry with this bag of wrapped shite. And I fucking hate Mercedes as its all thier shit that has caused every bastard issue.

Parts that have failed by Jeep/Chrysler? A couple of LED's in the heater control panel.
Every other part that's failed has been from those so called reliable German cunt company.

Fuck this. Blagged tomorrow off so I'm drowning my sorrows tonight.

Only updating now so you can laugh at my expense.

Front brakes were squeezing like buggery so got new discs and pads, didn't have standards so Brembos for the standard price. Unfortunately it was a seized pin that caused the issue.

So pins ordered.
The boot struts gave out a couple of months ago and had enough of resting the heavy thing on my head while fighting a double pram into the boot so ordered some struts.
And the front end was knocking bad so new upper control arms ordered as well and as the back disks were near gone got some Brembos for the rear as well.
Oh, and a new fuel filter as these can cause limp mode when fucked apparently (from a jeep uk page)

Anyway, onto the good news. Ex had it at the weekend as per usual. Rings me Saturday morning and it's dead.
Taxi to work and got the AA out when she finished. No drain, charging fine and battery fine so drive it about to get charge. Think one of the kids left a light on or something.........

3:30 yesterday go to start the car and dead. A fucking gain.
Ring up the AA again and told 2 hour wait. Near 2 hours they ring me to tell me their patrol man had a crash en route so another wait. (Hopefully he's ok)

Got to me for 7am and won't jump. Checks the battery and his test kit wouldn't even pick up it's on a battery. Throw a different one on and fired up straight away.
Work weren't to happy so rock and hard place I had to fork out £130 for a battery that isn't the right one for the jeep.
The joys!

Worse car ever! £410 on it this month.

And yes, still in limp mode.

As soon as I'm in a position to get rid I will be. For now though I've just got to keep on top of it.

Probably have to use a stealership to see if they can read any codes for the limp mode.

My mate bought a 04 plate Jeep earlier this year, lpg conversion as well, but I don't know what engine. It was the most unreliable piece of shit I've ever known. He got rid of it after about 4 months and god knows how many breakdowns. It must have spent the last 6 weeks in the garage being fixed breaking down being fixed breaking down etc etc.

It's a Mercedes 3.0 CRD engine, which does run lovely and smooth. But everything that's attached to it seems to be shite.

It's a. It of a mutant car really, it's a modern version of some old big 70's jeep but with a 3rd row of seats. With the chassis of the Mercedes ML / Grand Cherokee but with different 4x4 system using electronic LSD'd front and rear (unusual for a 4x4 someone once said?) and I think it was 300 a year for the uk market from 2007 to 2010 mainly with CRD engine, a Chrysler benze unit used in all sorts of motors.
-also available with the 5.7 HEMi V8. Not a popular choice for the uk market but I think the US had a 3.5 v6 4.7 v8 and the 5.7 Hemi. No CRD for them.

Just so annoying it has a stupid flashing warning light for the throttle position sensor, but it's never anything to do with the throttle position sensor.

I'm hoping for bottom of the barrel trade price at £2,000 as that's what we buy any car offered. Just stop and swap for something else.
But if it wasn't in limp mode it would be a really good motor!
And if everything else wasn't letting me down as well.

And credit to MikeyRobbo for getting it all done and lending me his bosses van for a couple of days. Bails me out the shit that lad, I owe him big time!
