It was running but making a strange whirling noise.

Smelt of burnt metal and AA man had a look and the starter motor was hot and wires all melted so think that's stuck on and burnt out.

It's down with MikeyRobbo till it can get sorted.

Borrowing the ex's mothers car for work tomorrow but going to have to say I can't work Monday as I've no transport.
Just changed job as well and start my second week tomorrow so that'll make for a good impression of me.

I need fucking rid of it. Worst car I've ever.

It's fixed now! New starter on.

Only problem now is its pissing oil out.
Think it's the inlet seal on the turbo gone. Jeep made a new inlet pipe with built in seal so that's another £150 I need to spend. If it is that seal any way. I'll have a look when I can be arsed.

Also have the engine management light on for glow plug control module circuit failure and another code to do with some exhaust sensor.

Getting seriously fucked off with this bastard car.

Anyone want to get me a loan

Strangely the Bat Mobile has been running sweet.

Keep getting the EML on though due to the glow plug control module again but no biggy. Get that changed in a few months.
Main one being the DPF is building up to much pressure so need to save up and get a side exit made and bash the DPF inners out and get it up to MSD to remove the codes from the ECU.

Refurbed the wheels (half a job really) and put some new chrome wheel nuts on.
Far better!!

Also decided to fly eye the head lights. Was getting annoyed seeing the blue to it from the bulbs.

And a bit more for the bat mobile theme (blame Mat RS )

Just waiting for the wheel centre caps to arrive.

Next up is new brakes front and rear as they've probably got a few months left before changing so get them in end of the month ready, then the modified turbo inlet as the standard one is shit and leaks oil as the seals are wank.

Then exhaust time.

And it's been getting loads of attention lately and I've fell in love with it again.

Stupid cars

Looking good mate! If the glow plugs aren't working and it's logged a fault, you might find the DPF wont regen. So if you get the module sorted, the DPF may sort itself with a regen.

I was Glenn. Looking to replace it end of the year.

Didn't know that Richie. Cheers for the info.
It'll sound better without a DPF and new pipe on.

With that advice I've just ordered the control module as getting codes for excess pressure and heat build up on bank one and two.

Very bad mate.

The boot strut has burst as well

But can't complain to much with the weight it got to hold.

Ex is going to pick up the module for me tomorrow morning as she has the car and I'll get it fitted and see if that cures the limp mode.

If not its then the DPF causing it so I'll bash the fucker out and book it in with MSD for the code delete.

Just swapped the glow plug module out.

Hopefully limp mode will stop now.
If not it'll definitely be the DPF which I'll bash out next week if I get an early finish.

Bit of a non update.

Limp mode still on and codes for excess exhaust pressure relating to DPF.

Messaged MSD to see if they'd do it but said they don't but Steve gave me a couple of local places to me that are part of thier network that can. So looked them up and just small bog standard MOT garages. Strange.
Anyway booked it into somewhere that do all the terraclean stuff and they said they can do the delete.

Day off work take it in and get told the computers are down and can't do the software. So said just clean it out instead.
Rang me later to say he couldn't do it as the sensor is faulty. Strange as its not on the codes and it gets the current voltage etc.
Taxi back and pick the car up.
Next day book it in for the Thursday (yesterday) and said get a new sensor as I want it running without issues now.
So the ex runs me to work at 4am and she drops the car off at the garage for me.

He then texts me to tel me he can't get a sensor till today. Why the fuck didn't he get a sensor in ready? Clown.
So told him not to fucking bother and had the Heep picked up again.

So it's still fucked and driving about with a blocked DPF.
Going to ring a terraclean bloke from Wigan and get him to come out to it and sort it for me hopefully tomorrow late afternoon or some day through the week.

And for good measure found a 2 inch long Philips screw driver attachment through one of the tyres.

Stupidly o forgot to rotate the tyres with the spare so will now have to save up for 4 new tyres

So fed up with this crap now.

Going to get someone to terraclean the DPF some time next week just to at least get it running without limp mode.
Hopefully I can get them to come out around 5 ish after work.

As soon as I'm in a position to its gone.

I quite like the 300C SRT 8.

But it's a Chrysler

Or an e60 M5 but cost a bomb to run.

You're not wrong there mate.

Wanted something different and big and ended up with a lemon.

Getting a full check over and diagnostics, DPF cleaned out and after checks and diagnostics and fingers crossed it'll be sorted.
But they way it's been it won't be much relief. I'll just be waiting for something else to go wrong.

One good thing though is the oil leak has stopped. It's not lost a drop for ages.

The SRT 8 (6.1l) is a bit thirsty. But reading forums the true numbers ain't to bad from owners. 20-25 motorway. That's what my jeep does on diesel

The HEMI V8 shuts off 4 cylinders when not under load so an option for you. But £550 or whatever it is a year road fund licence.

It is mate. Fiat Chrysler I think.

And the dealers are fucking useless. I have an outstanding recall in the ignition barrel. I know the parts are available as an owner on a group had his recall done but I keep being told by my local dealer there are no parts in country.

£50 on line when I quickly searched. He wasn't happy he couldn't sort it but he's picking it up, fitting it for nothing and charging me trade price he's getting it for. Prob be about £50 ish trade price I'd imagine.
Spent 4 hours on the fucker in total.
