Default Ford Focus 06 Plate - Fitting Aux Problems

Good Day All,

Had a search of the forum and could not see it

I have the above Focus and have decided to fit a aux input. Now I have enlisted the help of a mechanic who has fitted a few and we cannot get the radio out, we have tried Ford keys, the ones the garages have that fit all cars and even steak knifes. It seems like one of the catches is cabbaged, nothing catches on it.

Now what do I do in order to get this radio out? Anyone recommend anyone in the Merseyside area or is there an alternative way

Thanks

The way ive got them out in the past is by putting the 4 radio pins in then put 2 long screw drivers through the pins and pull like fook lol.

They are a bit of a twunt to get them out. The pins just about push the locking springs out of the way. Its like the slot for the pins isn't wide enough to let you get more leverage on them and even then they bend and get stuck on the way out.

Tried everything to get it out and there has been no joy.

I had the glovebox out changing a pollen filter and nothing stood out. What is it I am looking for?

A circle on the top of the inner part of the glove box. The jack has two wires going to it that you will have to disconnect ti remove the inner part of the glove box.

Took three mechanics about 20 minutes to get there out. Radio went back in nicely but the one corner doesn't look right and there is slight markings on the silver surround. One horrid job and I think I have only used the aux about 10 times since I got it done

Had a nightmare here lads

Some nugget has changed the battery but hasn't managed to keep the power to the radio and so it needs the code.

Now is there a way to get the code without removing the radio? That radio is a bastard to get out

Nope not unless you have the code with the service history. But since your posting on here i doubt you have.

Going to have to pay the garage to get it out again

The funny thing is that the code is written next to the serial code

Oh how we laughed

Is it printed in the audio book?

1&6 works on most of the Ford radios and some of the Sony ones.
