Default Zetec turbo build- what else do i need?

Im doing a turbo conversion on my mk3 fiesta xr2i 16v (1.8 silvertop)

So far i have got everything for the basic engine- and is pretty much all built and together

Full rebuild
Audi tt 1.8 20v turbo pistons
Forged rods
ARP rod bolts
Devil developments valve springs
Oil return welded into sump

I have a straight cut gear set and LSD that is almost together, and a Helix paddle clutch kit.

As soon as the gearbox is finished i will drop it all in the car.

Other parts i have already-

Omex 600 ecu and bare loom
Focus rs exhaust manifold and turbo, new turbo gasket and clamp
Focus rs decat pipe
Rover turbo inlet manifold, adaptor plate, fuel rail with injectors and throttle body
Oil pressure switch t piece for turbo feed
Breather blanking plate

Next on the list was turbo oil feed and return pipes and front mount intercooler (take it i can use an rs turbo uprated one?)

Please can anyone tell me, do i use the 2.0 cams or the 1.8 (105) cams?

Will the standard radiator do the job or shall i get an ally one?

Im guessing i will need an uprated fuel pump- any advise on what one?

And anything that ive missed or that i should bear in mind??

Thanks in advance!

I'm using standard rad on my xr2 which has been fine. I use a cossie external fuel pump with a facet red top feeding the swirl pot.
I'm using standard 2.0 cams on mine too.

I've got a 2wd cossie front mount cooler id sell mate.

Have you got any boost control? Would advise an ebc!

Are brakes and suspension up to job?

Wideband AFR gauge?

My current 1.8 zetec turbo motor is running the 1.8 cams with no problems.

I am using a Bosch 044 fuel pump for the new motor build and they are awesome. A Walbro 255 is a bit cheaper I think and more than up to the job.
As mentioned above, an EBC, wideband AFR is crucial as well.

Cheers for the replies.

How much for the intercooler?

And what do you mean by ebc??

And ok, il get on the case for an AFR and how about a truboost boost controller?

Was thinking about the 044 pump too

Take it this will do the job?

Any reason not to have 2 gauges instead of 1 that does both things?

You will need to modify the tank to run an external pump I think as doesn't yours use an internal pump? You could use that as a lift pump to fill a swirl pot and then plumb a 044 into that.

I have pm'd you! Cheers

Right, il order an AEM wideband AFR gauge, and omex has boost control function so i do just need the solenoid.

Had an issue last night. I got my short engine together- fitted the sump but when i turned the engine over, the crank hits the weld where ive had the oil return welded in!!

I can grind this back and will have to relocate it.

Is there any reason why i cant return it to the breather blanking plate??

The first Zetec turbo I built many years ago returned to the sump. Did 10,000 miles on that engine and my mate still has it in his car now. Never had an issue, though can see why in theory it would be better to do it above the oil line.

i would get a vibtatechnics engine mount and some mk2 escort hd 35mm gearbox mounts.
you will feel more vibrations, but the engine mount is often overlooked.
