Default Jenvey throttle bodies on a puma 1.7

Hello all
I'm looking at getting a set of jenveys for my fiesta 1.7 mk5 zetec s
It's going to have uprated cams full Milltek system bigger injectors
And upgraded fuel pump and omex 600
What do you think
Are the power gains good

Thanks

No idea on the power but arnt the injectors direct to head on the puma? Meaning that you could fit carbs for the air control and just not connect a fuel line up.

Isn't that the same as having throttle body's with no injector mountings ??

I'd expect to be knocking on 185 if the rod bolts are changes along with the valve springs and the rev limit raised

The head will flow 200bhp-ish as standard, just make sure the cams are the right ones and the exhaust manifold is up to the job

I dint think these make massive bhp numbers....but impressive torque. There was a girl that done it on her mk4 fiesta on here a few years back with jenvey direct to head itbs

Listen to this man.

You can just about make 160 at a push on the standard inlet with something like SS4 cams or Lightning Motorsports equivalents.

11:1 cr
Mild ported/flowed head
Racing puma cams with optimised exhaust cam timing and mapped Vvt inlet
Stainless tubular exhaust manifold
42mm tapered Gsxr throttle bodies
Rod bolts

This gave 182 bhp at 7000rpm
It would not give a single bhp more!
The headwork is important. The head is good but needs work!
Racing puma spec cams are good but slightly bigger will help if looking for more power than this as they're about at the limit.
Skimming the head 27thou will take it from 10.2cr iirc to 11.0:1 cr
May help you. This is a genuine 180bhp engine you will struggle for more without going more ports built bottom end, cams and springs.
