Torques filter and 044 mount

10K+ Poster!!
I tend to use the same setup but with the Bosch filter, its slightly cheaper but not a serviceable filter like that one.
This is the last one I did, twin pumps but you get the idea

Looks like they've changed the filter housing ?
Last pair a friend bought were bloody massive !! Far bigger than the 044 itself.
Probably wont matter in most cases, But I do hate the thought of tight banjo fittings and lots of sharp 90deg turns in a fuel system.
None of them can be conducive to flow.
But they do make a neat visual package.

Youll be surprised, in a household heating system each 90degree fitting is the same as adding half a metre of pipe (if that makes sense) so id imagine its the sametheory for flow in a fuel system.
That said, it goes through a pressure reg anyway so it wont actually matter as long as the pump is man enough for the job.

When flow is the main thing you're needing in a fuel system...anything that impedes it is of course a bad thing.
And it's harder for a liquid to flow than air.
It may look nice, and if the fitting internals are of large enough size then that will help. But from a flow perspective it is a bad design.
Seems silly everyone wanting lovely shiny colourful fittings, smooth bore elbows, nice hose etc...only to use lots of 90deg banjo type fittings where flow is most important.
it may not always make a huge difference, but every little helps.
