Any Peugeot techs in? 307 dmf help needed
Alright lads and lasses?
Got a little problem I need a bit of help with. My mates got a 2004 307 hdi 110 and all of a sudden today its started this high pitched squealing noise which was coming and going when pushing the clutch in or when free wheeling. The car in question hasn't even done 38k yet and has fsh yet the noise is 100% coming from the box,had a quick nosey about the forums but without signing up just wanted a bit of advice really as not got a clue about theses French motors. how hard is it to get the box out to swap over the dmf and clutch and do you need any specialist tools??
cheeRs in advance for any help or advice peeeps

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Sounds more the like the release bearing has packed in,
Very common on these, they run on a sleeve/guide inside the box
Make sure you change that part as well, they usualy wear out and cause the bearing to go
They're not that expensive £10-15
Nothing hard about getting the box out, no special tools req'd

Not bad to get the boxes out at all mate, I've done loads (being a Peugeot tech).
These suffer bad from squeeking flywheel noises, they normally first start to squeek and can be heard when switching off the engine, age or mileage is pretty irrelevant tbh.
I've even put new genuine flywheels in and they still squeek!
9 times out of 10 a new dmf sorts it....
Cheers Paul
