Default 3dr overfueling/running issue

I don't use my 3dr much but recently I wanted to take it out only for it to run poorly.

The spark plug tips look shot and full of black soot.

I've changed the plugs to see if it clears the misfire/spluttering but to no avail.

From running perfectly well, prior to parking it up (4 weeks ago) the car is now spluttering/misfiring/over fuelling.

On first start up it won't run on it's own accord, when you add a little revs it clearly misfires as though it's on 3, puffs/splutters out black smoke with a little water and then back fires.

What would cause this? It runs an Omex 600 Ecu, ID 1000cc and wasted spark, I've put some NGK-r 8es plugs to get it running, the 071 plugs were terrible.

I've linked a video (not mine) to show what is sounds like, the car in the video is worse then mine but you will get the idea.

Check the fuel pressure regulator isn't leaking fuel into the inlet via the vac hose,

Shall check this today. If it is, I assume the fpr needs replacing?

Thanks

Thanks for the replies.

Spent a few hours on it this afternoon going through the basics.

Turned out to be a faulty new coil pack, put the old one back on and it runs a treat.
