value this saph please
not my car and very brief details but I was asked today to put a value on a saph for someone.
the car is a 1 owner car garaged from new, G reg magenta with 48,000 miles.
not seen it so unsure on condition but been told its in very good condition. so go with no welding etc.
what is a realistic value for this car say in the spring time. trying to help a friend out. note the owner was in his late 50s and bought it new.
thanks

So many variables can change what it's worth, paperwork, any modifications, etc. Prices appear to be Ł8500-20.000 for very good to mint cars. The higher prices cars don't seem to sell very quickly and mainly sold by traders who add RS tax.

I think to woman looked on pistonheads and mentioned the 10k figure. I thought it may be a bit more than that as there can't be many left with the right story

I will find out more about it shortly. it's an older woman and her husband has passed away and I am trying to help her if I can. I am out of touch with cosworth values. I haven't seen the car yet I heard through a friend. I would like it to go to an enthusiast if it's as nice and genuine as I've been told. I will get a look at it.

Genuine car with good history and immaculate or close to 12-14k if 2wd
1 owner cars are hard to come by, shame it's magenta but still, forget ebay etc and have them advertise it in car and classic or something

Condition, condition, condition! coupled with the other info I would say Ł12k min these days if mint and standard, badly stored in a leaky garage and that figure drops south very quickly
Thats also if she wants to put up with the hassle of all the clowns wasting her time, better off selling to a decent trader or putting it through a classic auction if she does not need the grief

PassionFord Post Whore!!
There are only around 1000 2wd Sapphires on the road now, they are rarer than 3 doors and good ones should be making top money now. This one sounds like a cracker so she should ask for as much as she can get in my opinion.
