Default TD Mk4 Conversion

Hi all, as some of you maybe know i have a mk4 van, wanting to do a td conversion, i have been offered a p100 td engine box and loom for 150? now my question is are the mounting points the same as its been mounted rwd?
also is it much work to get one from a mk6 escort? what would i do about wiring etc? ecu? and fuse box? cheers

If your gonna go to the effort of fitting a td lump I'd look at fitting something vag tdi into it... Most Ford td lumps ain't worth the effort!!!

Cheers for the reply, I want to mount it fwd of course in on 150 a week so money is really tight with outcomes I'm left with very little, so is the p100 block no use at all?

Get a 1.8TD out of an Escort.
It will be a few easier fit!
If you get an indirect injection engine and get a Bosch fuel pump fitted then you will be able to run it in vegetable oil!

There's no ECU as its all mechanically injected!

Wiring is a piece of piss.
All the engine needs to run is a live on the stop solenoid.

apologies for the shortness in my post in a bad place at the moment, the p100 block is useable but you need to change the sump. front cover .engine mounts the diesel pump isnt all that the flywheel is wrong .the starter is wrong, you will need to change the rocker cover and all the breathers ,alternator bracket is wrong the list is endless that is why i advised you to look for escort/ mondeo

no fella the [english] non endura engine has a ecu that lives in the passenger foot well and that is the engine you want. the loom unplugs on the escort at the bulkhead and the ecu you then feed it out of the car [when you are searching for a donor you want bosch; ecu ;pump and injectors] then you can up the fuelling and the boost . just a sidenote have a mk 5 cabby turbo diesel and my best mate has a mk4 turbo diesel cabby so know a little bit [apologies again for the other post]
