Shows all clear. Original reg was EO56FOV, 4 previous owners. 3.0 Sport Auto in Black. No finance or condition alerts. Current owner has had it since July of this year.

Hope this helps !

You really need to do these yourself to get the protection.

I was with a trader recently and HPi phoned up saying a car he HPI'd as clear just flagged as a stolen vehicle (reported after the check), he did the check for a mate and HPI were not happy at all. The trader was bricking it as he was worried it would cause him problems with finance companies etc and HPI passed all the details to the Police.

If you were to make a cliam against incorrect info given by HPI or Experian, then yes, you'd need a proper certificate.

Not really sure why the trader was worried about doing one for a mate - you can do one for whoever you like ! And it's the police who would file the stolen marker in the first place, for HPi and Experian to put on the register so not sure why/how/ or what details Hpi would pass on to the police ?

Sounds like the trader was a bit confused or just panicked !

I don't know the ins and outs but he called his mate and tore off a strip....then told all his staff not to do any more favors for friends. This happened with me there as I know him well. I think the police received info from hpi as to where and when the car changed hands and to link up all the parties involved. It was a nearly new high end jag iirc.
