680hp on the dyno? using a t4? must have been very trick if it did make that number

also, the fella that did the mapping, Graham Dale Jones i think he says. Is he still involved in the Ford scene anywhere?

Great video that really enjoyed it. The 680hp figure has always been controversial but dj always states 680hp in qualifying trim. Just finished his autobiography, was a good read.

It may have looked like a T4 on the outside the chap who fettled his turbos came clean a few years ago on another forum

great video, i assume there was a difference of opinion between johnson and rouse?
680 in qualifying trim was alot but anything is possible with a turbo engine, its getting the engine to hold together for long enough. tbh it looks very quick.

Ah was you that posted about it here -

Mike Smith came onto another forum a couple of years ago and confirmed it. Apparently the person doing the welding work sent a batch of Rouse turbo's to Trakstar by mistake !

Rouse convinced the powers to be they had simply welded up a damaged turbo the day he got caught and that it was a legitimate repair, and he got his points back later in the season.
Rouse had his t4s cut open, machined out for better flow and welded back together, he got pulled for it by the scrutineers and lost points, he claimed it was a legitimate repair and he won on appeal and had the points back!
