Default Low Trolley Jacks

What low trolley Jacks are people using.

Im looking for something that is long and low enough to go under the 3dr and jack the car up on the crossmember.

best one for reasonable money is the low entry alloy one they sell at costco

avoid the ones with the single roller front wheel as they really arent all that stable

this is the one i have

http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...3773_200413773

its about £110 in costco

Hi Steve try Machine Mart, they have loads to choose from depending how much you want to spend. The one I have goes under my Sapphire which is pretty low with no problem, also has big round rubber piece which avoids any metal to metal contact. Have a look and see what you think.
Cheers Richard.

I've had the clarke alloy low entry jack for several years, you need to check all the bolts or remove them all and thread lock them, its been pretty reliable, I normally lift up a fair bit with it then use another bigger jack to take over.

I have heard a few people say they have had trouble with these jacks.

Ive a 1.3 Ton Sealey same as the above DK13HLQ model, although Sealey dont seem to list it anymore. Most seem to be a 2T model which I presume would not be just quite as low entry.

But the low entry, long reach high lift really are the best.

They'll easily slip under most cars far enough to reach the crossmember and lift the vehicle high enough that you can get good axle stands under it to work.

They are worth spending the money on.

This is the Sealey 2T version

You could always drive the car onto some wooden planks to raise it enough for a normal jack to go underneath.

I just drive the car up on some blocks of wood then put the jack under.

I agree, I've bought loads of stuff off them, I've got two of their low entry jacks and 4 of their axle stands, quality stuff and not too expensive either.
The jack I've got goes under my Cossie easily and it's got a long reach too, which is what I was after. This the one I've got, really nice quality and compares well price wise to a lot of others.

I have to say they are really good Glenn, and not as pricey as some of the more well known names. They're so good I've now got 2. Really great for getting under really low cars. Some of the so called low entry jacks aren't actually as low entry as they look, or they start low entry but aren't long enough so that the other end of the jack doesn't get caught on something.

I've got an Arcan 3ton trolley jack. Been using it for 3yrs and never had a problem with it.
Got it from costco but don't know if they do it anymore?
