That was quick! Although a 10.9 second quarter mile for a stock GTR is mega impressive too.

im sure that gtr was indigos stage 2 basically just breathing mods and a remap about 600 hp.

the thing is while I love that capri it will be absolutely pants at anything but the 1/4 mile, still awesome though.

My only time from Santa pod with the zetec turbo (1.8 on a T2) was a 15.1 @ 98, thats 14/15 yrs ago, full road trim Mk2 fez, 6" wide used metro challenge slicks.
(With a brand new Super crap AP organic clutch that slipped its tits off and got removed for a full refund as soon as we got it home.) suspect maybe a mid 14 without the clutch issues.

Oh I see, still very good for a basic modification package, agree with you the capri was impressive but it was a one trick pony.

The gtr was 640hp, Antony from indigos personal car for a while, he sold it to buy a new m3 as he got bored of the gtr, it was so good it didn't give u much driver satisfaction so he bought the m3 he told me as it's much for fun.
The Capri run a 8.9 at classic ford day but it's not much use for anything else.

Sorry didn't realise! I love the Capri think it's awesome how it was built by an average man in his garage on a limited budget but can make a supercar which is modified look silly! I'd pick the Capri over the gtr probably get slated for that on here tho.
My own Capri if money no object would be stuffed full of modern alloy turbo'd v8, for now it will have to make do with a yb!

I heard adding nitrous windscreen wipers is a huge benefit on top of a straight threw big bore set of race cams!

Wow, can you imagine the acceleration?!

Did a 11.1 sec @ 129mph in my 996 turbo last year, hoping for a 10.99 or better this year... Will call it a day after that as happy with a 10sec car...

I think it would need a close ratio fuse box to run the nos on the wipers though

Yeah your right, also I forgot you'd probably need forged washer jets to run the nos wipers.... Obviously

Best one I got on my 2.9 24v was a 15.1s @ 96 mph. Getting off the line was not the best on winter tyres though. Never tried the YB yet.

This maybe the case.. However I love super cars but regardless of costs to buy or actually build , if anything older cars are just cooler regardless if they are cheaper faster slower or more exspensive to build or otherwise

Thinking outside the box for individuals that like performance is most likey a plus to most. Super cars although great really are just the status quo and as such do little for the imagination

I feather the throttle between 5000 - 6500rpm. Try to lift the clutch up when revs are rising... Tried so many different combos and this one worked best by a country mile.

I'll post a few launch pictures when I'm at home on the laptop (on phone @ work atm)
