Default MK3 Mondeo rusty doors?

I know the MK3 suffered with the bottom of the doors going rusty quickly on the early ones.

Was the problem sorted by the time the 03 plate was released?

Cheers

Nope. It's was never really 'sorted'. All Mk3s can suffer, some worse than others.

Cheers Dan.

Im going for a butchers at a 03 plate 2L Mondy tomorrow, so if it is one of the ones that suffered with rust early on its life then it would be in a right state now I guess!

Unless of course it been tarted up!!

You'll find out when you get there! Only really neglected ones get in a right state. Most are just a bit rusty.

The drain hole in the bottom get blocked and so they retain water and then rust

Ironically the rusty hole let the water out so no one realises until you see the water running into the car because the rust has torn the rubber for seals

They are easy to spot just look at the bottom of the doors
