My clutch cables broken which is the best way to fit new one and where's best to get new one from any ideas appriciated thanks?

Call them and specify if 2WD or 4X4 cable you require.

Can be a little tricky to fit, ideally 2 people needed.

I've an as new cable and escort quadrant ( the white one meant to be better ) all taken from mine as I've converted to hydraulic Ł10

Fitting the cable is easy just feed it through and connect it up. When you connect it too the pedal if you look behind the quadrant there's a little spring loaded clip that's like a ratchet. Push that so you can lift the pedal up and re set it.
Then once it's all fitted push the pedal and it rachets up

Thanks mate does your pedal have a bolt so you can adjust the hight of the pedal if so how much postage you want mate thanks

I didn't think the height was adjustable I thought it was done buy the ratchet. 3 pounds to post

I have always found it easy enough by myself.

It's self adjusting.

Just done this last week on my car. Managed to get it all on myself. Had to remove the lower part of drivers side dash to get my large frame in there :-(

Get the new cable
Hook it on the pedal first
Then brute force to get it into the clutch fork
Use an assistant to pull the pedal up as far as possible
Once it's all on, press the pedal as far as it will go then side step the clutch and let it twang back again
This resets the pedal adjuster

Trust me, you don't want to be changing the plastic ratchet this close to ford fair if you want to go as it means removal of the pedal box assembly and also making sure you have exactly the same color adjuster to go back in again, they came in black, white, red and yellow depending on which clutch you have had ford, fitting the wrong color leads to ALL SORTS of issues that you don't need, from not being able to release the clutch ask the way to not having the pedal in the right place to even breaking the pedal box (as happened to me)

Mine was changed from the black 2wd type to the white type to give a better pedal

Would you happen to know if there is a clip etc on the pedal box that prevents the brake pedal being lifted upwards?

Don't do this, it needs to be on gearbox end first and the pedal end last ( that's the idea of self adjuster, u can release the ratchet and get cable on easy)
