Amazing car. Simply stunning.

If we ever cross paths, I call shotgun.
I would never say or think that bud, SS is a doer like me we crave massive Power we both have it. We dont just talk about it we go out & get it, thats why he has my respect but he knows that.
Mind you i would like to have a go down Brunters against his car & i expect thats something SS would like as well you never know maybe next year.
You cant compare a 2 litre 4pot with a bigger capacity car with more cylinders if modded to the hilt, that to me is rather obvious .
To put it into perspective the Fastest GTR posted a 241mph at Brunters, my old banger with the new engine should get around 214mph that my dear friend is a massive insurmountable problem for a YB

like you would not believe glenn, I drove for 2 hours home and was fresh as a daisy when I got out

the turbos have only done 3k miles so hopefully shouldn't need to come out anytime soon fingers crossed
I had the missus on her usual watch the exhaust check and all she saw was a small puff of black fuel smoke when I nail it then clean as a whistle

I was watching oil pressure like a hawk and it sits constant between 3 bar and 6 bar. I havnt looked at a comp map but from 1 bar upto 1.6 bar on 2 gtx30 turbos its gotta be one hell of a jump up in power

cheers rod you know you have my respect mate, after all its your car and dyno plots that started all my power hunger off I think all those years ago tbh lol

quite simply power gives me wood lmao

you cannot compare a saph with a yb in it to a gtr, technologically there 3 decades apart for a start !

its the gearchanges rod, its simply mind blowing its just constant seamless acceleration, some people say it feels detached from the driving experience, I say simply it is just fookin quick and I love it

don't even go there lol

il be honest it was another reason to buy a highly modded car, always worth a bomb in parts alone, that's how I priced it, stock car price then add up all the mods and price them half price or below and theres your value figure

cheers, no luck involved here though mate just monumental amounts of hard work all my life
im on track to have made Ł14000 profit from the 3 old skylines so that was a nice chunk towards it before adding my money

for once im not worried about looseing abit of money on this one as its so nice I expect it to cost me, its worth it

It's more money than I could truely justify on a car but then it is the ultimate fast car really. I can't see anything keeping up with that, being as practical, reliable durable and fun to drive its simply stunning.
Good on you, I'd love a special car like that one day but it will be quite a while yet!!!
Plus I haven't even got my cossie to work yet!!!!

I struggled to justify it initially but I thought well if im going to have one the time is now, being ryan Griffiths own development car it is my best shot at a well built, well priced big power gtr.

imo it looks better in real life than in the pics, heres a pic my missus enhanced the colour with a filter

well the supra did 30 - 130 mph in 8.8 seconds with about 10 ft downhill across the whole run, ive had one run at 10 ft downhill across the whole run and did 30 - 130 mph in 6.8 seconds at 1.5 bar on v power, and 60 - 130 mph in 5.49 seconds.

I know the car can do 0 - 60 in 2.6 seconds using launch control, I didn't use it just mashed the throttle all modes in standard and did 0 - 60 in 3.3, 0 - 100 in 5.7 seconds.
that's with it shifting at about 7k rpm, in race mode it shifts at 7.5k rpm which I should of put it in I didn't think

the most astonishing of all though is even with no launch control and it was abit cranky off the line and first gear shift (I think its because its set up to work in race mode not standard for racing) and it still did 0 - 140 mph in 9.9 seconds

i don't see as im ever gonna need the 50% ethanol map for 1.8 bar tbh lol

with the supra it was a drama constantly a mental thing to drive, whereas the gtr it is honestly effortless it genuinely doesn't feel that fast even though its by far the quickest car ive ever had lol

the plot starts at 4mph as that's where all my other cars plots start from so it keeps it comparable to the old GTECH plots then.

even at 1 bar im sure its still the quickest car ive ever driven

and 1/4 mile with no launch control and no race gear shifts just stock

ive spoken to svm and the cyro treated and superfinished gear set in my car is good, but if I want to seriously drag race they advised me on a full uprated gearkit which is Ł10 - Ł25k I feel a little sick just typing it

Not surprising when one is 2wd and the other 4wd.

The question is...will it be enough to keep him happy ? lol Certainly sounds like it should be !

Although why the dead spot on the graph around 40-50mph ?

And with the GPS/Accelerometer, if fitted, you can log to your hearts content with the Syvecs without the need for the VBox

Without, it still logs plenty and can easily do speed/time graphs etc

sure does mate I just need to buy a notbook/laptop and download the software so I can learn how to read through all the data. I am more content than ive ever been with a car

the dip is 1 tenth of a second on shift from first to second, I felt it aswell and I think it may of shifted while traction control was working its arse off stopping it spinning, track was cool would of been better on a hot day with beaming sun still out really.

with mid 140 mph terminals it should be a 9 second car shouldn't it ?

is that the best you can do with 60k ish of car, best get out and walk.....
awesome, lovely motors even as standard.

peeps need to stop comparing to rods though, completely different cars from different era's.

i'll be happy to ride shotgun to compare though in both if possible

For the nature of the car (ie. just a sports coupe) and its blocky, lardy appearance (barn doorish drag), the fact it has a full interior and its kerb weight. The above stats are incredible!!! Just imagine if it was a full lightweight marvel (cf, aluminium alloy, titanium etc), with the same running gear!!! I doubt a hypercar would have chance, never mind a supercar!!!

that's one of my favourite things about it, it is a proper road car and built/tuned with that in mind

and the head and cams are still standard just rebuilt by rik wood
shows how good the motors are imo

its weight isn't noticeable when driving it at all, im sure if any of the electronics failed though it would be a death trap lol

it does have 2wd mode aswell but ryan said don't even think about it on any boost setting other than for a burnout as its just silly in rwd lmao

I need to get the missus to take a vid, it sounds awesome with the 102mm titanium exhaust, il get one done soon and stick it up.

Out of the world figures for a road car

Steve

in the wrong hands the car is a death trap/licence taker as it is effortless to drive and at any speed it just feels like 60 mph tbh, Nissan have done an amazeing job in designeing the car

my butt would tell me the supra was quicker as it felt it from memory, theres no explosion with the gtr hitting full boost it was tuned to be smooth delivered power all the time with 100% traction wherever possible, its a technological masterpiece imo

having said that I guess if it didn't run any restrained boost/tuneing and just ran 2.1 bar boost solid right from the offset like the supra did I guess it would then be an uncontrollable monster like the supra felt.
