Refinishing Small Turbo Escort Engine bay trim?
Any ideas on this?
My cam belt cover is looking tatty, it is quite badly scratched and scuffed, and the turbo heat sheild won't hold any colour no matter what you clean it with, it seems to soak it up and go back to grey
the belt covers especially are hard to come by, and i dont want to pay for everything in carbon.
my only ideas up to now are:
Water transfer printing. The carbon fibre print looks a bit naff, and I've not seen any others that look good. also how would it cope with the heat on the top of the heat shield? i know they lacquer it so should be ok?
crackle black spray, probably the closest finish to get back to the factory textured plastic finish, but again how would it cope with the heat?
Plain gloss black?
