as we are all well aware, the standard front brakes on the RST are really upto much

Is the St170 a worth while upgrade... what are the costs involved as well please..

Size of disc's?

Is it just a straight swap with no additional parts required..??

Thing is, heard that the pads are over 100 quid

p.s. who can supply this?

oh...and they break quite well!!! btu ihavn't had to buy new pads yet so i cannot confirm the price of them....but if there £100...then fuck that!! i'll bias it all to the back!!

The discs are 300mm.

I don't know how much the pads cost.

I know to fit them to a Fiesta the hubs had to be drilled out and then they just bolt straight on. I don't know if this needs to be done on the Escort.

It's a pretty striaght forward conversion.

X-Factor or Gadget may be able to sort you out with prices.

Did you require any brackets to be made in order to get them to fit..

just to confirm....

I have ST170 CALIPERS and escort cosworth front discs!!!

and 2wd cossie discs and calipers at back!!

The ST170 and the 4x4 Cossie use the same caliper but the caliper hanger is slightly different oin the ST to house the 300mm disc....

I always thought the 4x4 caliper wasn't a worth while upgrade as they are no better than the RST caliper
