That is a monster!!!! Anything over 600bhp is cool IMO, regardless of badge. (not that there's anything wrong with toyotas).

770bhp in a T-top MR2!?!? No wonder there's a disclaimer at the start of the ad! Still a cool car though :-D

The dyno graphs and AFRs make for relatively hilarious reading on the ebay advert:

FPMSL, you're not kidding Will

Good useable power on a nice smooth tune then, NOT

Still got massive potential though.

To be fair thats only off boost, it vaguely does what it should, just jumps around a bit on the way, but as soon as its on boost it goes to about 13:1 and it then quickly heads down under 12.

Looks a lot worse than it really is TBH

Still amusing he would put that on the advert though, lol

Fair enough. Odd though having that on the ad, might have potential but if that's an issue always makes you wonder what else it may have issues with. Needs scoooby slayer to buy it and finish it of to keep his supra company lol

they are fine thats all off boost, looks a pig of an engine though no power til 6k revs, must be proper hard work theyve overdone it imo.

I stand corrected.

Like you say they've gone for a big number and said bollocks to driveability, needs someone to build it to a useable spec....

...so you gonna buy it for when you fancy something with a bit less power?

peak torque at 7100 rpm says it all, reving to nearly 9k to keep in the power is abit much imo.

I wouldnt avoid it just cause of a few bad experiences people have had with the seller, I just think it needs buying eyes wide open with the intention of a strip down and rebuild and price what you offer for it accordingly.

I absoluely agree, if you go into it with your eyes wide open then you cannot go far wrong BUT I would be taking any descriptions (especially internal parts or any parts which cannot be seen) from the seller with a huge mountain of salt. Also, FYI there have been a lot more than a 'few bad experiences' with this seller.

From that other link that Olie put up, he altered his timeslip from Pod and made it considerbaly (sp?) faster than it actually was? He got caught out as someone went investigating and posted the true results. Then he tried to wriggle his away out of the arguement? So with the fiqures he's claiming with this 'so-called' 700+ engine/turbo/internal combination surely he cut corners parts wise and is talking a whole lot of hot air?
