was chattin to ram off here last nite as he came to look at my mk4 escort diesel van project and it made me think of the advert with a black geezer drivin a purple escort van,with bass pumping out of it,but the bass turned out to be someone slammin on the side of the van lol.
im sure it was for a macdonalds advert in the 90s,ive done a little search but cant find anything

anyone else remember it????????

Right,just found a little snippet of info that the advertising campaign was running on September 12th 1996,from a lawsuit that viz magazine were considering as mcdonalds basically stole their ideas!!I wonder if that would help in a YouTube search?I would imagine it would have been primetime viewing back then so may come up in an advert between a popular telly program,corrie or sommit?

Hah hah that is quality, used to love this advert as was mad on escort vans at the time the price of the burgers too. Mind u the mechanic I was apprentice to at the time was on ÂŁ3.20 an hour

My first mk3 escort van was used in a few crimes up north (I had no idea) and then a scouser down our end sold it to me, the van stood out like a sore thumb as had a big taz manian devil on the bonnet and Fido didos on the back doors lol. Police came knocking one day and arrested me untill I showed them a receipt I had and the green slip of the log book showing I'd only just bought it. Got the van back and it lasted a fair while. Was only a 1.3 but was only 18 at the time. Ahh memories!
