The last proven orion i believe was the Urban Racing green one running 1/4 mile in 13.3 secs again i could be wrong.

What speed did nms get to & christian major? im doubtfull about the top speed claims of the orion as well when you read the thrash results & power claims some ppl never see a true recorded 160 with more spec than this orion just because the needle goes right round nearly to the start dont mean its doing 160 mph. My old rs turbo used to do that with a standard intercooler chip & actuator.

We can only try to get the car to reach those speeds and try we will people said it wouldn't run a 12 we spent 6 days and nights on the car to achieve a 12 and on Friday I ran a 12.7 in mattys car! With a few mods and nights mapping all we can do is try! So watch this space people!! And at the next possible chance the car will be rolling road to see it true power!!

As for people who claim to know what power you need to have to be running x speed

Maybe there is a formula but clearly there are too many variables as with a r/r'd 273hp I have run a 12.5 @ 121mph, backed up with several more 12.5 runs at 118 and 119mph so clearly you do NOT need 350+hp to do those times !

Don't compare on the road speeds to speeds achieved at Brunters mate, we both know your nova for example would bounce off the limiter in 6th on the road where as at Brunters it would run out of runway before getting there.

If you consider that Speckys Tigra reached 175mph in 1km at TOTB in 4th gear you can imagine what its capable of on the road flat out in 5th !

not trying to argue, as i know you know your stuff, but as said, my mates astra is running 12.7 @113, its been RR'd at 371 bhp with a blowing manifold, i know a dyno isnt gospel and should be taken with a hint of salt, but it will sit on the back wheel of a mates gsxr 750 from 80 mph untill they both run out of steam, and it absolutely destroys my cossie, which should be 350bhp, albeit alot heavier car.
as said, not trying to argue or bicker, just saying, im puzzled at his low terminals too.

Still mighty imprssed by the orion though!
