Default Mtx75 gearbox into a mk2 fiesta?

Has anybody on here fitted an mtx75 gearbox into a mk2 fiesta? Thinking of doing it as I have shocking ratios in my current box and i'm scared of it chucking it's hand in next time I'm at Santa pod i can get a box and gear linkage of a mate just what to do about shafts and mounts any info will be much appreciated thanks !

Same as putting it into a Mk3 or Escort Turbo, custom drive shafts and mounts need to be fabricated. What ratio's are you on?

Inner wing mods. Chop chunk out and strenthen remaining metalwork. Lump hammer may give clearence if being crude.

It's a mk6 escort diesel box with quaife diff tops forth out at 115 mph ish

If you do the conversion get plenty of pics up on XR2.com mate, looking at starting this conversion myself soon.

I've got an MTX mounted in my Mk1:


As stated, shafts, mount and inner wing needs to be cut and welded are main worries.

i'm planning to fit one in th esummer after my wedding, i'm not worried though, if it needs chopping, it'll be chopped.
custom shafts need not be that expensive and mounts are easy to make.
