Default Mk3 Mondeo Rear Subframe Bushes

Got the MOT due next month on the Mondeo (53 plate) and was told at the last MOT it will need the rear subframe bushes replacing

Anyone know if you can buy uprated ones? Or will i be better off just getting standing ones? How hard are they to change?

Cheers Brian

you can get a special tool to fit them then it a piece off piss to do you do need a realignment tool as well to be honest unless you have the tools you would be cheaper paying some garage to do it as it only takes a hour at most!

Yep Beef, I thought that worked out pretty well.

It was going to need realigning anyway, and I didn't have the press tool. When you factor that in I thought it was reasonable value to just swap the subframe out.

I think Chris did me a good price on the subframe though.

I just didn't fancy the chew of pushing the old ones out. That was enough need for me.

Do worn subframe bushes cause the car to kind of sway or wobble at motorway speeds?
