Default Daewoo Matiz heater probs

Has anyone done a heater matrix on these, and the thermostat ?
Just wondering if they are really awkward to get to being so small and crammed in, or if there is any other fave fail point, dads neighbours has serious lack of heat, just luke warm at best, might try flushing agent first.
Any ideas, comments appreciated, he went to this from a RST when a baby came along but is working upwards towards another RST now!!
Thanks

Ah yes i used to work on daewoo's and chevrolets the pipes to get off the heater matrix are abit of a pain!its a dash out job!not to bad but not to good!cant actually remember where the stat is tbh?what year is it?

If i was you take off the pipes to the matrix and give it a gentle blast with a hose pipe obversely you want to put the pipe on the outlet side have had a few that just get crusted up!

The impeller in the water pump wears away on these, and that could be your problem, check that first

It sounds quite hopefull then!!
I did have the idea of shoving some WYNNS cooling system cleaner in there for a few hundred miles to start with to see what happens had good results on others.
He has a perfect set of diamond cut 17's in his garage all ready for his "new" ford when he gets it, heater is so bad he has hired a car to go on holiday in, only found out heater was this bad today.
Thanks for the suggestions, surprised there was none that involved petrol and a match!!
