LEWIS- Ahhhh mate, i will be in Blackpool at the end of the month for a piss up. Proper tempting! I keep looking at mine since for a ZT conversion.


WANGERS- Yeah mate, i had Pro Alloy make me a system up. Note the matching header tanks in my bay? Ones for the CC fluid. The rad is super discreet, hidden behind grill, i wanted it to be as stealthy as possible.

Tim- Aye man, i'd bring the turbo by choice, least it has brakes and a cage

My first post on Here and my first Ford but here is my mk1. I've only had it two weeks so i've not done anything to it yet apart from put it through its mot.

Anyway some pics






The car has been used for rallying and as far as i know is still running a 1.3 the spec is as follows

bilstien suspension
omp 6 point cage
omp record 2 drivers seat, omp base mount passenger
xr2 disks and callipers with braided hoses
polybushed up front
janspeed exhaust
xr2 k&n
full respray 18 months ago and undersealed

My god its slow lol

Looks alrite that mate, jump on www.shitboxracing.co.uk love a mk1 fiesta on there!! The 1.3's are fairly nippy for what they are, try driving a 950

Does anyone remember a super mint black mk1 that used to go down the ace cafe ford night years ago? It was slammed on tiny 13" 4 spokes i think?

some of mine when i 1st got her and wot she looked liked after alot of money








then she went into the shop






some pics of when i 1st got her back on the road a couple on months before winter





these tears bring a tear 2 my eye! atm shes a bare shell having full respray agen n engine bay painted, got a 1660 xflow fully lightened and balenced, kent cam, stage 3 head, forged pistons, twin 40s, duplex timing gear and will hopefully be on lumenition! lsd box as i think il need it
gettin all the runnin gear all shot blasted and powder coated most of it xr2!
DONT U JUST LOVE DONER CARS
gaz coilovers, adjustable tie bars, cage, cobra seats with 3 point harnesses
should be ready fingers crossed by the end of the year!
plenty of piccs and updates 2 come

Going for around 350bhp, its mainly going to be a track day car but still road legal, still along way off yet but getting there slowly. Ive been building it for about 15 months so far.

some superb cars on here, makes me want to buy a mk1 and restore it.

back in the day we must have had all of them, 950, 1.1, 1.3, supersport, XR2 including popular, popular plus, L, GL, Ghia, S.

I had a rally prepared 1300 sport that was rotten to its core, in fact thinking back Fiesta mk1's used to be rotten (floors, wings, sills, front cross members, scuttle, tailgate) even when they were 10 yrs old so how do you find a good one now days?

1.3 sport's were always my favourites, 70 bhp, a rev counter, stripey seats and 4 speed!

wont be ready for this summer im affraid! i need parts, gaskets ectect, ive also found someone to do my body work too i didnt trust anyone to weld it but now i believe i may have found the person.. how are you any ways how the S1???

is my old one a mk1 or mk2?





i loved that car, it was so lightweight (even before taking the doors and hatch off and stripping it out. was only a 1.1 bt used to handbrake turn like a demon.

i love my 1.25 that i have now. loves to rev, and loves to lift off oversteer and handbrake trn. great fun, might do a track day in it one day.

it was scrapped - it was as rotten as a pear underneath and had been slathered in filler round the arches

love the look of the cossie one. looks mental

couple of pics of mine..not finished yet but hopefully soon.....hoping to be done for ford fair now.....





and an old pic of when i was mocking everything up before paint. Hopefully will have everything in asap as soon as i sort a clutch. Also cut the chasis again since paint to get the mtx box in.Thats bolted in place now,just go to take it back out, get some shafts made, buy a clutch, then everythings ready for the final fit

will it work abit like an expansion box on a two stroke? if so wont that make it laggy?
