Default Le Mans - who's been and how much does it cost?

Going to Le Mans with my bro this year and would like a rough guide on how much its going to cost.

If it helps I live in Brum and we both have diesels so no cossie fuel problems.

Will £500 be enough all in if leave Wed 9th and look to return Mon 14th, or is beer/food piss-takingly expensive?

Ta!

i have been every year since 06 and hoping to go again this year

if you are camping a abig group, if you plan you can eat and get very pissed everyday for 20-30 euro's a day

ferries approx 60 return dover to calais if you travel early and leave late, we do weds-mon

its abou 200km this side and 400km in france (from london)

do it, its the best trip ever, the cars, the atmos, the campsites are surreal at times, £30 tent and £150k supecar not uncommon!

also, dont forget to build a beer mountain....but you wont beat ours

book a private campsite, better toilets showers, usually a bar, secure, there are a lot of muppets that go too. we stayed on the aston martin campsite last year, and the airtrack one before that.def worth the extra money, can't exactly remember, but i think it was less than £100 more than an open camsite,if that makes any sense.
