Default Quaife ATB diff?

Are these any good (for the front of an escos)?
Are they different from the quaife LSD diffs with the thickwall housing or are they the same thing?
What handling characteristics will be effected?

Cheers

same thing mate, you have an ATB put in a thickwall casing.

I use one, seems to turn it and go where I want it most of the time. Not very techy I know, sorry

Ask Gaybird!

here is my ATB and my Casing

Sexy metal porn pics, as always, Porkie

Aye, PON I will be at Beds RS day on the 19th, but still with std 'box, so taking it easy in third until the red mist rolls in, about half a lap after the slicks are warm

Hope to experience your rally taxi in full sideways hooligan mode, should be wicked.

Cheers

What is the purpose of the thickwall casing?
Sorry if thats a dumb question but I only have about 360bhp, so if the thickwall is for the big power brigade, then it may be surplus for me?
Would I need a cwp shot peen/polish with my puny power, also?

Thanks

Looks like we're after the same setup, Seveneights. PM'd Kev a while back about the ATB so we might end up playing scissors/paper/stone for first dibs
I see my old wheels are white again

Kev YHPM .

StickerPaul - Cheers! See you at Bedford, mate.

Still need to know

The casing can crack if a lot of stress is put through it! Especially on launches (Kev Sharp has cracked a thickwall one I believe as well!)

So am I likely to crack a std case with 360bhp, mainly track use and a few hard launches?
Don't want the extra cost and weight of a thickwall case if I don't need it.
Any ideas?

Cheers

Could you tell what would be the price of whole thing build WITH VAT?

What sort of many is theis shot peaning and polishing? And has it any use for rally style driven 300HP car?

hi newits i have both on my car now and you can feel them working, evern more so when going slow and turning. i had just the front done on my car all summer and i noticed that it turned in better and felt so much more sure footed at the front.
that is why i have put one on the rear as well to match

Cheers Dunc - what driveshafts are you using up front? Have you gone for the longer xr4x4 ones or what? Having a nice grippy front end has got me worried about stuffing another offside driveshaft

Cheers Porkie, Sean's got too much stuff for a man without a car

If you have to ask... you can't afford it!

That would go for £0000's on ebay and I suspect it will as well!
