I think you guys are abit Harsh on the whole wheeler dealers show considering you have all watched it and probably loved watching it, even when the repeats are on!
This is a programme that i enjoy watching; i dont actually care if they are doing things wrong, its just nice to see all these old cars. please name me another car programme that showcases a golf gti mk1. austin mini, audio quatro, porsche 911, porsche 924, 928, cosworth, lancia intergrale?
So your rather watch jezza in some jungle showing everyone what a clown he is and nothing whatsoever to do with cars?

You are right, I do watch it if its on, I think their best was that little fiat 500 they did. However Mike Brewer just seems to know the square root of fuck all about cars, yet he's 'been in the trade' all his life!

I mean, if you pulled the dipstick on a car, and the oil was a bit black, would you rebuild the engine? If it was pissing smoke out the exhaust, would you change the gear linkage?

Does anyone remember the show Deals on Wheels he used to do. Episode that sticks out was an utter cock selling his Renault 19 with williams plastered down the side. He had won max power sound system comps with it. When he took the guy for a test drive he was saying how guys see him driving by with there girlfriends, but don't look at the car because they are jealous. Then he asks the guy if there are many "pigs" on a stretch of road so he can gun it. Proper spastic!

to be fair, mike brewer knows more than a lot of so called traders! you dont really need to know massive amounts about the car to be a good salesman. a good salesman can sell any heap of croc.....

I remeber when it used to be on discovery H&L it always was followed by the show with the mad nutter building a kitcar! that show was good though.

I like The Garage set in Spain. They had an Audi TT come in overheating and the first thing I said to the ex was "bet the water pump impeller has cracked at the spindle" after they took half the thing apart and replaced a load of bits they finally looked at the water pump.

That red MR2, he went on about a cheap wing he paid next to nothing for, it was so blatantly a brand new wing that had been painted.
